About us

Engineers of Tomorrow is a not-for-profit that is shaping the engineering narrative by telling better stories.

Recruiting and inspiring your talent pipeline through STEM youth outreach

Yesterday we shared a study that highlighted some gaps between the values of new employees entering the workforce and the organizations they are going to work at.

This is something that we’ve thought a lot about.

And, we believe that STEM youth outreach is a powerful tool that can help to recruit and inspire your talent pipeline.

We see a lot of resources that are aimed at bringing awareness to specific industries or directly to companies and brands.

These resources tend to be targeted at students that are close to entering the workforce (grade 12/college/university ages).

But, what we are learning and understanding better now, is that is too late!

We need to start talking to kids as young as grade 4, 5, 6…

Why? Getting to kids at a younger age helps to:

  • Nurture diversity
  • Breakdown barriers
  • Dispel myths
  • Shift perspectives

So will we have to wait 10 years to see the affects?

Nope! At least, not with the model we’re using….

You see, the power and beauty in our outreach model is that we engage your employees – you know those new ones you are trying to retain – to do the outreach!

And, that’s where the added value comes in.

EoT youth outreach turns employees into AMBASSADORS – for their profession and your brand!

So you’ll start to see the affects immediately on employee retention. You’ll be able to attract the best talent. And, all the while you are continuing to build your talent pipeline.

Pretty neat eh?!?
