As my time as an intern at Engineers of Tomorrow comes to an end, I would like to share some of my experience and realizations during the past few months.
As an engineering student in a co-op program with a slightly competitive edge, there seems to be a predetermined type of job that everyone should strive for. Typically, anything that involves a lot of technical abilities.
While I believe that any engineering experience is a valuable one, this type of assumption fails to recognize many other areas of engineering.
Being exposed to and involved in the process of engineering outreach has revealed a side of engineering I was not aware of before.
I am very grateful to have been a part of a program that is working to change the conversation about engineering and create positive educational experiences for students.
I feel confident in saying that my experience with Engineers of Tomorrow has taught me valuable skills and knowledge that I will carry with me in my future engineering career.
