This was a special week as we celebrated International Women in Engineering Day on June 23rd.
This week we featured engineer Rana.
Rana is the Director of Finance at Camp Engies. She goes above and beyond to ignite passion in the next generation of change makers…working to make sure that they have the right tools and resources to be able to make informed decisions and connect them to a bright future.
Rana also works as an engineer for Toro Aluminum. She graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in structural engineering.
Who’s helped Rana become the engineer she is today? Her everyday hero…
Her mother!
Rana’s mother taught her the importance of confidence and passion, and leans on those values today as she builds a brighter future.
Rana is an everyday engineering hero!
Above: Rana gets in on our #INWED2021 fun by stitching her take on our “tell me you’re an engineer…” video!
Registration is OPEN for Camp Engies and space is limited. So, if you know a girl in grade 5-8 that would like to unleash her engineering passion and connect with other inspiring women in engineering visit campengies.com
PS. In addition to featuring Rana this week, we also did a fun thing on the 23rd….we’re on TikTok now (@EngineersofTomorrow)! Have some fun with us, and Camp Engies there by stitching our #INWED video. Not sure how to “stitch” on TikTok…no worries, we didn’t know how either. But, this article was very helpful: https://later.com/blog/stitch-on-tiktok/
