We’re wrapping up our International Women in Engineering campaign. It’s been a pleasure collaborating with the amazing women at Camp Engies to amplify these stories.
This week we featured engineer Anna.
Anna is the Director of Community Outreach for Camp Engies.
She graduated from from Dalhousie University with a Bachelors of Mineral Resource engineering.
She has a special interest in expanding the reach of Camp Engines – especially to more remote communities that may not have the opportunity to access engineering programs for girls.
Now she works in an underground gold mine in northern Ontario!
We asked Anna, who is your engineering hero?
This year the theme for #INWED2021 is engineering heroes!
Who lifts Anna up? Who does she look to when she needs inspiration?
Her answer: the women out there who are lifting up other women and paving the way in non-traditional industries
She wants to see more women represented in the mining industry and she wants girls to know that the engineering pathway can lead to ENDLESS opportunities!
Aana is an everyday engineering hero!
