No better way to wrap up our month-long celebration of our volunteers than by featuring some of the OTHER ways that engineers are helping us!
Aside from the hundreds of engineering mentors (the classroom volunteers – or EIRs as we like to call them!), we also have a Board of Directors, an Advisory Board, and focused Working Groups to thank!
We really do have the “best of the best” engineering talent powering the work that we do!
Meet our Board….

EoT Board of Directors
Erica Lee Garcia – Founder of EoT, and Chair of the Board. After obtaining her P. Eng. Erica began her own consulting firm, and has worked to become a national voice of positive change in engineering. She enjoys traveling and mentoring young people.
Jamie Beyore – Joined the Board in June 2019. Jamie is an environmental engineer and is passionate about making the world a better place. He is doing his part to marry “business thinking” with “science thinking” to lead the global transition to more environmentally friendly & sustainable fuels.
Ramon Yarde – Joined the Board in December 2019. Ramon specializes in information technology and joined EoT as a way to support the engineering community. He is internationally trained in IT and holds a masters degree computer science.
Peter Luo – representative for the EIR Advisory Board. After volunteering for the EIR program as a classroom mentor in 2019, Peter returned to EoT to provide strategic and operations support. He works as a civil engineer in the transportation industry.
The EIR Advisory Board is made up of volunteers that meet quarterly to review program strategies, share best practices, and deepen community connections.
